Rafting in Jarabacoa

Extraordinary adventure in one of the largest rivers in the Dominican Republic. The Yaque del Norte river basin is the largest of the Dominican hydrographic basins and the second largest on the island.

Its waters are used to feed the irrigation channels that contribute to the development of agriculture in the northwest line, and important aqueducts and dams have been built on it that are used for the production of hydroelectric energy, thanks to the construction of the dam of Tavera.

In recent years, the practice of rafting has been developed in the vicinity of Jarabacoa, it is one of the most recommended activities due to the turbulence of the waters of this river in its descent towards the sea.
